25 Jan Oratie ‘Koloniale stuiptrekking: Het experiment Suriname in de jaren 1930’ door Rosemarijn Hoefte

Vrijdag de 16e maart 2018, des namiddags om 16.00 uur, zal de Hooggeleerde Vrouwe dr. R.M.A.L. Hoefte, in samenwerking met het Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal-, Land- en Volkenkunde (KITLV) / Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen (KNAW), benoemd tot Bijzonder hoogleraar Geschiedenis van Suriname sinds 1873 in vergelijkend perspectief, haar hoogleraarsambt openlijk aanvaarden door het uitspreken van een rede, getiteld: ‘Koloniale stuiptrekking: Het experiment Suriname in de jaren 1930’.

On Friday the 16th of March 2018 at 4.00 p.m., Professor R.M.A.L. Hoefte, named Professor by Special Appointment of the History of Suriname since 1873 in comparative perspective, will deliver her inaugural lecture with the title: The last convulsions of colonialism: The Suriname experiment in the 1930s
The chair was designated on behalf of the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies (KITLV) / the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
