21 Feb Seminar on the joint future of Indonesia and the Netherlands
In preparation of the upcoming state visit to Indonesia (8-13 March), King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima attended a seminar organized by DutchCulture in Amsterdam, on February 18, 2020.
The Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja spoke both at the opening and closing of the event. KITLV’s director Gert Oostindie spoke of the contemporary significance of the colonial past. KITLV PhD student Grace Leksana reacted to his speech. At the reception, the King and Queen had a discussion with a group of Indonesian students, including KITLV staff.
